5BARz India Private Limited, today unveiled its advanced next generation 5BARz™ ‘ROVR’ Wi-Fi Router & Smart IoT Hub at an event held at its Bangalore offices. In attendance were several local business leaders including Mr. Narayanan Sadagopan, Director, IIIT Bangalore, as well as Mr. Vasan Paulraj, Managing Director & Head – Financial Sponsors Group, Axis Capital Limited.
5BARz India will immediately start rolling out the product in the Indian market as a part of its exclusive contract with a top Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect 5 million Indian homes to the Internet over the next 5 years. 5BARz will begin the joint branding marketing campaign along with the leading ISP in the coming weeks. As a part of the joint roll out 5BARz India will also make the product available in e-tailers like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal and through major retail chains.

The ‘ROVR’ encompasses several innovative features including dual backhaul, power backup, mini Wi-Fi instances for each member, customizable bandwidth and data usage, remote monitoring, alerts and advanced IoT capabilities which can be monitored and customized with the easy-to-use 5BARz™ Smart Experience connectivity suite of applications from anywhere and at any time. The product functions as a hub for the smart devices with these built in IoT capabilities which come as a default feature in the device. As an IoT hub, it will manage and control temperature, humidity, gas detection, motion sensors and cameras which can alert the home owners with a call or SMS.
