Cybus Connectbox
Cybus Connectbox

Industry 4.0, even though still a bit of a blurry term, has to be as easy and simple as possible according to Cybus. The start-up from Hamburg, Germany, is developing a Connectware to digitize industrial production devices through plug-and-play. For that, Cybus now provides a specially designed tool-box for companies to start tracking data and analyzing it in less than 6 minutes. The nearly two-year-old company created a fully self-operating software solution to retrieve any data needed from machines. It redirects it through a secured API to digital IoT-services, such as remote monitoring or predictive maintenance services.

Industry 4.0 easy to deploy

But how does it work? Manufacturing shop floors simply plug three tiny measuring devices on any device and start collecting insights. This can be about the machine uptime, power consumption, historical insights different machine states and more. Based on simple values from power metering. The data is being processed into the IIoT-dashboard of French Industry 4.0 studio OptimData. Therefore, in the moment of connecting the power meters, data will be shifted, collected and analyzed in the dashboard without allowing unauthorized access from outside the premises. Founded by Pierre Manière, Marius Schmeding, and Peter Sorowka in 2015, Cybus currently is in its second funding round to expand sales activities on a much more international level as a platform provider in the 150 billion USD market of Industrial Internet of Things.
