Amp’ed RF Wireless Technology, an international provider of advanced WiFi radio chips, announces the availability of Amp’ed RF Connectivity Controller, ACC1340, WiFi dual band single-chip solution. ACC1340 is a perfect solution for audio, video and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer the highest power and memory efficiency of any WiFi chip on the market today with our ACC1340,” said Kelly Simone, President of Amp’ed RF Wireless Technology.
The integrated circuit, systems-on-a-chip (SoC) ACC1340 offers dual band support in both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies providing a balanced approach to supporting WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n protocols. Further, the Packet Traffic Arbitration, PTA, feature supports coexistence with Bluetooth radios in the 2.4GHz band.
“The dual band feature allows you to avoid data traffic jams by putting you in the 5GHz fast lane,” said Naz Usmani, VP of sales at Amp’ed RF, who noted that dual band allows for excellent reception in crowded environments with high population density areas such as apartment complexes, office buildings and transport hubs.
The ACC1340 features low energy consumption, fast speed and a clean design. Its complete feature set offers the right amount of integration options, allowing for fewer external components and faster time to market – the best match for manufacturers of WiFi enabled products who wish to seamlessly stream audio, video or Internet data.
