Arrayent Inc., a leading global IoT cloud platform that enables leading brands to get connected and get closer to consumers, announced that interoperability of connected products will be a key focus of its activities at CES 2017 and beyond. This one-day event will focus on “Engaging Consumers: IoT and the Smart Home and is being held at the Venetian Hotel, Level 4, Marcello 4405, in Las Vegas. Arrayent VP of Engineering William Oget will participate as a speaker at CONNECTIONS Summit at CES on January 5, 2017.

The Summit speakers and participants include key companies working to create consumer engagement for connected devices and products. Oget will be featured on the panel “IoT and Smart Home: Seamless Interoperability” from 1:15 – 2:30 p.m. Arrayent is also a sponsor of the Summit and will participate in its exhibition.

“The promise of the smart home will be enabled by interesting functionality that enters the home product by product, developed by many different companies,” noted Arrayent CEO Cyril Brignone. “This requires interoperability of disparate products connected in the cloud, and between cloud ecosystems. And, that’s why a big focus for Arrayent is on helping our customers evolve their products by enabling interoperability with major ecosystems.”

One of the key areas under discussion at the Summit will be voice control in personal digital assistants like Amazon Echo and expansion of the voice interface along with strategies for integration and creating value for customers, according to Parks Associates.

Almost 40% of U.S. smartphone owners use voice recognition software, a figure that increases to 46% of millennial smartphone owners, according to the firm’s research. “The introduction of voice controls through solutions such as Amazon Alexa-enabled products has opened new possibilities in how consumers can interact with smart home products and services,” said Tom Kerber, Director, IoT Strategy. “We will address the impact of new voice controlled technologies at CONNECTIONS SUMMIT and look forward to hearing insights from Arrayent regarding interoperability of products.”
