AtSite Inc., a leading provider of smart sustainable building solutions and services, last week introduced Max, a smart building robot, at the IBCon/RealComm Conference, in Las Vegas, NV.
Max is part of a broader development project by AtSite to explore the future of true machine to machine smart building technologies. In addition to providing remote visual inspection of building conditions, Max can collect environmental data including temperature, humidity, VOCs, CO2, pressure, light and sound.
Max is piloted by real people through buildings and works in tandem with existing management teams, connected at all times to InSite, the AtSite cloud platform for smart buildings. “We see so many building applications for fixed and mobile-enabled sensor technologies,” said Rob Wyte, AtSite Sr. Director of Building Technologies. “We developed Max to solve our need of collecting many data types from many changing locations – cost efficiently.”
A use case, for example, would include a healthcare system remotely and rigorously inspecting indoor conditions in its hospitals to maintain a high quality environment of care while maximizing patient experience – all in a low-cost fashion to leverage existing investments and resources.
In addition to providing varied energy and related smart sustainable building solutions, AtSite is helping organizations use innovative smart building technologies, including the Internet of Things IOT), to improve the quality and performance of their buildings. Max, together with other innovations, is bringing inexpensive solutions that address increasingly growing needs and compliance requirements.
“We imagine a near future where advanced, low-cost tools such as Max revolutionize how organizations meet the modern demands of people and the planet,” said Lisa West, AtSite Vice President of Marketing. “We are excited to be at the forefront of so many innovative technologies.”
