In September, Ayla Networks executives are sharing some of their company’s hard-won expertise in the Internet of Things (IoT) in general, and the value of a comprehensive IoT platform, during IFA 2016 in Berlin and the Denver Startup Week. During Denver Startup Week, Ayla is presenting a Hands-On Lab with its partner Renesas and Ayla executive Rod McLane is speaking on a panel with customer LockState.

What: IFA, the World’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, takes place in Berlin. This year, IFA is highlighting the connectivity between different consumer electronics devices and household appliances, heating systems, and lighting systems. The trade show features a large installation known as the e-house, which will demonstrate the progress the Smart Home industry has been making in interoperability – a fundamental requirement across the European Union.

At IFA, the Ayla highlights how its agile IoT platform can be leveraged to create secure and scalable connected products. Developers and manufacturers will be able to meet with Ayla IoT experts, view demos of Ayla’s Agile Mobile Application Platform (AMAP) and Ayla Insights business intelligence and analytics platform, and learn why manufacturers worldwide are building their connected products on the Ayla IoT platform, giving them the ability to build and sell products across the US, Europe and Asia.

What: Ayla Networks is participating in the largest free entrepreneurial event in North America with a free Hands-On IoT Lab. Denver Startup Week is a startup-focused industry conference that includes founder, developer, growth, product, designer and maker tracks, with a record 944 sessions proposed for the fifth year of this “entrepreneur-a-palooza” focused on the culture of innovation. For companies exploring the burgeoning market of the Internet of Things, the Ayla Networks IoT platform makes it possible for startups to get to market faster with connected products, while concentrating on their areas of in-house expertise.

The free Ayla Networks Hands-On IoT Lab allows product designers and managers to explore how to create a connected device. Hands-On IoT Lab participants can connect and see properties in the cloud using Renesas energy demand management dev kits; add custom properties to a product; and learn the necessary steps to successfully launch a high-volume connected, embedded product.

The session will cover how LockState has approached the IoT, the lessons that they have learned along the way, the future of IoT, and by working with Ayla, how they have been able to transform themselves into a technology and services company.
