Ayla Networks teamed up with Renesas Electronics America, a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, to deliver an IoT development board that speeds manufacturers’ time to evaluation and time to market for their IoT products. The companies demonstrated an Ayla-enabled Wi-Fi module integrated with the Renesas Synergy™ Platform at ARM TechCon 2015.

Manufacturers of embedded products will be able to use a simple menu to select connection to the Ayla IoT cloud. They can also reuse Ayla IoT cloud connectivity software across the full line of Renesas microcontrollers (MCUs).
“The ability to reuse Ayla IoT software on different Renesas MCUs means that manufacturers with diverse product lines—for example, simple products using small 16-bit MCUs all the way through more complex products using 32-bit ones—will not have to recode cloud connectivity for any of their solutions,” said David Friedman, CEO and co-founder of Ayla Networks. “Renesas represents another important addition to the Ayla IoT ecosystem, adding to the technology options for our manufacturing customers and expanding our own sales channels.”
