Cozify announced today that Antti Vihavainen will participate as a speaker at the 11th-annual CONNECTIONS™ Europe – Smart Home, IoT, and the Connected Consumer, 2-3 November, at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. He will participate in the seminar’s opening session “Business Case for Smart Home and connected CE Products” on Nov 2nd, 2016 at 9 AM.
The interactive panel session, moderated by the Stuart Sikes, President of Parks Associates addresses the pricing models, smart home channels, emerging partnerships, and new technologies that are disrupting this nascent space. Cozify urges the expansion of the smart home value network beyond the traditional retail and professional installer channels towards a setup where players of various industry verticals extract value to their core business by utilizing consumer-IoT solutions. “In practice that means companies such as insurers experiencing decreased number and value of home insurance related claims when their customers get an early warning and get immediate assistance from their insurance provider” explains Antti Vihavainen from Cozify. “And unless the European service providers start acting quickly, the internet giants from North America will capture much of the smart home potential” he continues.
Recent study from Parks Associates shows that currently, over 50% of broadband households in the U.K., Germany, and Spain are “not at all familiar” with smart home products or services, leaving a big opportunity for companies to highlight new products and offerings.
