The DFW EXCELLERATOR will have its Grand Opening Launch Event with a ribbon-cutting at 10:30 AM Friday, April 18th and 2 full days of events thru Saturday, April 19th, 2014. The event includes an engaging lineup of speakers, a Mobile Hackathon themed around the “Internet of Things”, a Company Showcase, a Makers’ Demo, One-on-One VC Meeting, and Co-founders’ Speed Matching. Guests are encouraged to compete in the mobile hackathon, attend the many speaker seminars featuring highly-esteemed businessmen and community leaders, and to connect with fellow entrepreneurs in a fun and engaging 2 day event.

The Mobile Hackathon will allow teams of developers and designers to build solutions to sponsored problems, problems involving the “Internet of Things”, or a problem of their choosing. Winning solutions can win Bitcoin, Android tablets, cash, and 3 months membership at the DFW Excellerator! The Company Showcase and Makers’ Demo will allow companies and people to show off their cool tech and build networks to help sell and market their products and services. Co-founder Speed Matching will allow co-founders or entrepreneurs looking for complementary skills or expertise to pitch themselves and ideas to others in a quick but personal setting.
