November 2, 2016 @ 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM PDT

Infoblox DDoS Webinar

Infoblox , the network control company that provides Actionable Network Intelligence, announced that it will host multiple webinars on Wednesday, November 2nd to discuss lessons learned from the latest DDoS attack. DNS-based attacks are growing in frequency, sophistication and scale. The recent massive DDoS attack on Dyn simultaneously crippled high-profile sites including Twitter, Netflix, Box, The New York Times and many others.

The webinar will feature DNS experts, security experts and Infoblox product experts, including Cricket Liu, notable author and one of the world’s foremost DNS experts. Immediately following the webinar, Cricket will host a tweetchat at #DontbenextDDoS to answer questions from 6:15-6:45 p.m. GMT (11:15-11:45 a.m. PT).

Alarmingly, a key component in those DDoS attacks was the hijacking of millions of Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as DVRs and cameras, using them to bombard DNS servers with traffic. As IoT adoption expands, so can risks from DNS-based attacks.

  • Best practices for deploying a DNS architecture
  • The role DNS security plays in your network infrastructure
  • The pitfalls you should avoid

If you have questions, feel free to send them ahead of time, and we will answer your questions during the webinar. Twitter users are welcome to tweet their comments, questions, concerns or recommendations using the hashtag #DontbenextDDoS, for Cricket to address during the Tweetchat following the webinar.
