Nearly 200 sourcing industry professionals are expected to gather in Dallas, September 28-29, to discuss and debate the future of the global services industry at SIC 2015, hosted by Information Services Group (ISG) (NASDAQ: III), a leading technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company.
Under the theme, “Future Smart. Achieving Success in the Digital World,” participants at the industry’s premier event will review the current market forces and emerging technologies that are threatening to upend traditional sourcing and service models. They also will explore the strategies that will help them ride this disruptive wave and evolve their offerings for greater success in the age of the digital enterprise.
“The sourcing industry is in the midst of a digital revolution that will change everything we know and believe about service provision,” said Todd Lavieri, president, ISG Americas, Australia and New Zealand. “In the as-a-service economy, cloud technology is casting a long shadow on traditional infrastructure services, labor arbitrage is giving way to automation, and clients are expecting the digitization of everything to help them become the truly interconnected, self-learning enterprises that constantly adjust and respond to changing market conditions.
“Keeping up with the breakneck pace of change is a tall order for service providers, who must evolve rapidly or risk decline,” Lavieri added. “The presentations, panel discussions and workshops at SIC 2015 are designed to help service providers navigate these seismic shifts and plot a course for future success.”
Among the topics to be explored at SIC 2015 are:
- X-as-as-Service and other key trends in business technology
- Service integration and Global Business Services
- IoT: The convergence of IT and product engineering
- Brokering cloud services: the new realities
Martin Ford, founder of a Silicon Valley-based software development firm and author of two books, including The New York Times bestseller, Rise of the Robots: Technology and the Threat of a Jobless Future, will be the keynote speaker. Ford will explore the impact of technology on global business and discuss how software robots will forever change the shape of service provision.
Over the two days of the conference, SIC 2015 participants will have time to connect one-to-one with ISG thought leaders, peers and guest speakers from all areas of the sourcing industry.
The 2015 ISG Sourcing Industry Conference (SIC 2015) will be held at the Westin Stonebriar Hotel just outside Dallas in Frisco, Tex. To register for the event or for more information, please visit www.isg-one.com/SIC2015.
