What: Matt Lear of iconectiv, a leader in telecommunications innovation and policy, participated in a panel discussion during the “IoT and M2M Standards Landscape” session at an Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) committee meeting yesterday, May 16, 2016 in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Lear explored industry efforts to enhance interoperability and information exchange between Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications. This includes the emerging oneM2M standard, developed under the direction of a consortium of eight global standards bodies, which enables seamless IoT/M2M interconnection and interoperability across vertical industries.

This event was the 28th meeting of CITEL’s Permanent Consultative Committee I: Telecommunications/ Information and Communication Technologies.
