InterDigital, a mobile technology research and development company, will showcase how its IoT solutions power applications of the future at Internet of Things World, the world’s largest and most comprehensive IoT event, from May 10-12 in Santa Clara, CA.

InterDigital’s demonstrations will be powered by its suite of IoT solutions including oneMPOWER™ and wot.ioTM. InterDigital IoT solutions enable interoperability for various IoT devices, networks, and industries through global standards like oneM2M™. Furthermore, they help partners and customers quickly deploy and develop advanced IoT applications that unlock the true value of IoT data.

InterDigital will feature the following demonstrations:

  • Smart Buildings: The company will feature how oneMPOWER and wot.io can be interworked with HARMAN International’s IoT Gateway solution and a powerful application interface to enable building automation.
  • Smart Services: InterDigital will showcase how oneMPOWER works with a Continua Alliance certified connected health solution from Lamprey Networks Inc. to enable remote patient care service such would be found in smart nursing centers.
  • Smart Cities: Transportation is a key component of smart cities, and InterDigital will demonstrate how oneMPOWER powered by wot.io enables an innovative smart cities initiative called oneTRANSPORT which will lay the foundations for smarter transport networks in the UK and around the world.
  • The company will also showcase visitor detection and counter capability powered by wot.io that includes a number of partner data services. Such a solution demonstrates the company’s ability to quickly enable additional IoT solution capabilities that can increase physical security and presence awareness for Smart Building, Services and Cities alike.

In addition to the demonstrations, Alan Carlton, Vice President, InterDigital Europe, will present the oneTRANSPORT initiative as a connected city innovation case study on May 11, 2016 at 11:20 AM PDT. Mr. Carlton will also participate in a smart cities panel discussion on monetization and investment on May 12 at 4:50 PM PDT. Steve Burr, Senior Manager, IoT Solutions at InterDigital, will participate in an IoT analytics panel on technical challenges that could impact effective data management on May 12 at 2:40 PM PDT.
