Planon, the global leader in Integrated Workplace Management Systems software, announced it will be host an IoT day-long conference and discussion geared towards business consultants and industry analysts on Wednesday, April 6, 10:00AM at One Federal Street, Boston. The event, titled “Welcome to the Planon Universe,” will take an in-depth look at global changes in technology and how it will revolutionize several industries.

Editor of Improbable Research, Marc Abrahams will be the keynote speaker at this year’s influencer event. For more than 25 years, Abrahams has been collecting research on anything and everything from everywhere-specifically, research that makes people laugh, then think. In 1991, Abrahams founded the Ig Nobel Prizeceremony, held every year at Harvard University and televised worldwide, with the prizes handed out by bemused, genuine Nobel laureates.

“Planon is growing as a business and we are continuously expanding our product innovation with disruptive technologies like IoT, Big Data and analytics,” said Fred Guelen, Planon’s Global CFO and President of North American Operations. “By holding this event, it will give us an opportunity to connect with other thought leaders in the space and grow our partnerships.”

The Internet of Things, as a concept, encompasses anything and everything that comes together with the connection of devices to the internet, such as sensors and machines. Unimaginable just a few years ago, tomorrow’s workplace is poised to lift productivity, efficiency, and employee experience for those organizations that embrace it.
