iQor announced that Autumn Braswell, Chief Operating Officer, Enterprise Solutions, LinQ, will speak at CONNECTIONS: The Premier Connected Home Conference, May 24-26, in San Francisco.
Braswell will participate in the session, “Support Strategies to Integrate Smart Devices in the IoT,” on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 10:30 am PST. The interactive panel, moderated by Patrice Samuels, Research Analyst, Parks Associates, examines the challenges created by connectivity in smart home devices, from installation to ongoing updates.
Parks Associates research shows nearly 50% of U.S. broadband households plan to buy a smart home product in 2016, and two-thirds already have at least one Internet-connected entertainment device.
Many connected home device owners report problems with setup, and over 40% would be willing to pay $10/month for a support service. These new needs, alongside the promise of new revenues, have pushed IoT and smart home providers into new and unfamiliar roles of support. This session examines strategies for these companies as they enter this new territory and areas that need support. Panelists will also discuss the challenges for smart home and IoT providers and identify areas for partnership and profit.
“IoT-enabled devices are changing how consumers interact with and experience brands,” said Braswell. “Smarter technology requires smarter service. As different connected devices, platforms, and apps converge in the home, it’s now more important than ever for brands to understand and integrate their customer and product ecosystems to deliver a consistent and positive experience.”
