Registration is now open for the Smart Card Alliance’s 10th Annual Payments Summit, the only payments event providing practical, actionable information that can be used to develop strategies and plans for implementing trending or new payments technologies. 100+ speakers will dig into the most important developments in payments with sessions on EMV chip technology, faster payments, mobile wallets, IoT and wearable payments, contactless payments, and open transit payment systems.

The Payments Summit, being held on March 27-30, 2017 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida, is a can’t-miss event that brings together multiple payments technologies and verticals, allowing attendees to explore and unlock cross-sector business opportunities. The event will be co-located for the second time with the ICMA Card Manufacturing and Personalization EXPO.

Keynotes, roundtables and panel sessions will touch upon the latest innovations and efforts driving the payments industry, including:

  • EMV, Mobile Payment, and Cloud-based Payments
  • Faster Payment and Secure Payment Strategies
  • New Payments Technologies and Blockchain
  • Open-loop Payments for Transit and Parking
  • IoT Payments, Wearables, and Connected Cars
  • FinTech and the Future of Payments

“There’s an extraordinary amount of innovation and change impacting the industry right now with the steady increase of chip-on-chip transactions, an influx of mobile payment solutions, and more exploration into IoT and wearable payments,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Smart Card Alliance. “With this in mind, this year’s Payments Summit will focus on taking advantage of this wave of change, providing a look at the most influential payments technologies and the many business opportunities they can unlock.”

Registration for this event includes access to all sessions, the combined exhibition hall and networking events for the Payments Summit and the ICMA EXPO. Members may register through either the Smart Card Alliance or the ICMA to receive member discounts and other benefits. Early registration discounts end January 13, 2017.

The program is rapidly filling up – innovative thought leaders and experts interested in speaking at the event are urged to submit proposals no later than November 30, 2016.
