Taoglas USA, Inc. will be offering hands-on advice to optimize antenna installation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications at 13 Verizon IoT Developer Workshops in the Midwest. Designed for engineers and developers, these informative, four-hour free sessions will include practical tips to help those designing and building devices to capitalize on the fast-growing IoT market. Among the many topics covered at the IoT Developer Workshops, Taoglas will be providing information on how to incorporate antennas successfully into IoT devices to achieve consistent, reliable connectivity for 3G, 4G and LTE networks.
According to Director Karrie Rockwell from the Taoglas Central Region USA, having the right knowledge up front can make the difference in time and money saved. “In building an IoT device, it’s important to think of the antenna first. Finding the right antenna solution should not pose any difficulty but once the product housing is complete, retrofitting an antenna to achieve connectivity is not easy. Going in the wrong direction slows down projects that would otherwise go to market more quickly.”
“At the developer workshops, engineers will be educated about all aspects of hardware for the IoT market, and we’ll offer guidance about selecting the best antenna whether it be embedded, external or custom,” she explained. “Not only can we help developers identify the best antenna, we also have the ability to provide them with custom cables and connectors to further support their initiatives.”
Taoglas has been helping all kinds of companies in the M2M and IoT markets connect with cellular, GPS/GLONASS and Wi-Fi networks since 2004. The workshops are by invitation only and will be held in 13 locations.
