Tech Data Corporation announced an expanded agreement with Panduit to add their Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio to the company’s Smart IoT Solutions practice. Through the agreement, Tech Data will offer Panduit’s manufacturing-focused IoT solutions and partner enablement tools to its channel of solution providers in the United States through its Advance Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) division. Panduit solutions will also be included in Tech Data’s award-winning Cisco enablement and education program, Momentum, in which partners are trained around IoT solutions and market opportunities. The announcement was made in conjunction with Cisco Live!, being held this week in Las Vegas.
“We are pleased to expand our agreement with Panduit and deliver solutions that drive the growth we’re seeing in the convergence of the information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) markets,” said Angie Beltz, vice president, Cisco Solutions Group, at Tech Data. “This agreement enables Tech Data to bring complete industrial IoT solutions to market in the manufacturing space, which is a key vertical for our new Smart IoT Solutions business practice. Tech Data has the distribution power and portfolio to complement all the elements of Panduit’s solutions, including device activation, sensor, data, power, server, storage, cloud and accessories, and we’re excited to help our partners operate in this space.”
Panduit and Cisco, along with Rockwell Automation, collaborate to deliver data center, enterprise and industrial automation solutions that bridge the gap between the logical architecture and physical infrastructure. Panduit offers solution providers reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions that can be deployed across multiple technology platforms, giving solution providers the opportunity to increase sales, improve profitability and differentiate within the market.
“With this new agreement, Panduit and Tech Data are positioned to provide solutions and partner enablement tools that ease complex IT and OT convergence initiatives for our manufacturing and industrial customers,” said Steve Timian, vice president, Business Development, Industrial Automation Infrastructure at Panduit.
In June, Tech Data was honored with Cisco’s Excellence in Security and Innovation in Services awards in the United States, as well as the Enable & Scale Partner Satisfaction award in the United States and Canada at Cisco’s annual Americas Distribution Forum event.
